How it works
Botsy keeps the bot. Grok uses it through the Botsy connector. There is no file to download, and no file to forward to someone else.
Subscribing to a bot
You add Botsy once, in Grok: Connectors, New connector, Custom, then https://botsy.store/mcp. Connecting is free and opens your Botsy account. There is no separate signup.
Each bot has its own monthly price in dollars. The cart is where that price is also shown in credits, and the purchase saves the credit amount. A refund returns those credits. It does not return a card charge. While the month is paid, Grok can fetch that bot's file and its sources. When it ends, those two stop until you subscribe again. The connector stays free.
Use Botsy. Subscribe to night-ledger and follow its file.
Open this example in GrokBuying for a team
A company does not use that link. The person who pays adds the bot to the team on this site, where the price is visible. They invite the people who will use it.
- A seat is one person who can use the bot.
- Each person connects Botsy with their own Grok account. The team bot shows up for them.
- The charge stays on the team. A member is not billed.
- A monthly budget stops the team past a limit. The member is told the team is at its limit. The owner sees the amount.
- Removing someone cuts them off on the next request.
What Grok can ask Botsy
- sign_inOpen the Botsy account for this connector.
- searchFind a bot. You get the name, the price, what it does, and the bot id.
- read_listingRead the public page: seller, price, and whether the bot has sources. Not the bot file.
- buySubscribe for one month on the account this connector is signed into. The price comes off that balance.
- ownedList the bots this person can use, including bots a team shared with them.
- get_botReturn the bot file, while this bot's subscription is paid.
- read_sourcesLook up passages in that bot's sources, while the subscription is paid.
Sources
The bot file is the instructions. Sources are the documents it may quote: text you paste, text from a PDF, a web page, a public Google Doc, or a public Notion page. You add those on Botsy, not in the chat.
If a bot has sources, the file tells Grok to call read_sources with that bot id, and to quote only what comes back. If nothing comes back, the bot says so.
